What is the Driver Experience?
The Driver Experience is a mobile-only dashboard built for drivers. It strips away complex features like Accounts Payable, Reimbursements, or Plan settings, and focuses on the essentials:
Viewing assigned cards
Uploading receipts
Reviewing and matching transactions to receipts
Finding fueling stations with the Site Locator
Why It Matters
Driver-friendly design
A clean, wallet-style mobile interface that puts cards, receipts, and transactions front and center.Less admin work
Our Smart-Match for Mastercards engine automatically pairs uploaded receipts with card transactions.
How to Enable the Driver Experience
For New Drivers
In the Corpay One web portal, go to Invite Co-Worker on the Teams menu tab.
Select Driver as their base permission.
In the permissions pop-up, input the details of your Driver, as you would invite any other permission base user.
Send the invite.
Encourage your Drivers to have the app pre-downloaded in advance. They will have web based access, but it will be limited to Cards and Transactions View.
Once they log into the mobile app, the user is automatically placed into the Driver Dashboard.
For Existing Users
Viewers: Simply enable Driver Experience from their user settings.
Other roles (e.g., Admin): First switch their role to Viewer, then enable Driver Experience.
For both existing users and new drivers, the dashboard view will only be enabled once a card has been assigned to them.
What Drivers See on First Log-In
New Driver users will go through a quick built-in onboarding tour in the mobile app, introducing:
Fast receipt upload & how to attach receipts to transactions
Managing transactions
Site Locator for fueling stations
Ensure your Drivers have already a card assigned, so that their assigned cards and transactions are visible.
This ensures drivers are ready to use their fuel card right away, with minimal setup.

Best Practices for Admins
New Drivers can be directly invited to the Driver Experience.
Existing Users with any other permission apart from Can View, must first be updated to Can View permissions, then as a Driver.
Use reporting in the Admin Portal to track fuel spend by driver or card.
Encourage consistent receipt uploads so your team can keep reconciliations fast and accurate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I enable it for existing team members?
Yes. If they’re already a Viewer, just toggle on Driver Experience. If they’re another role, switch them to Viewer first, then enable Driver Experience.
Q: Can existing Drivers with updated permissions still use the web portal?
Yes, but only in a limited way. If an existing user is updated to have the Driver Experience, they’ll still see the same restricted web access — receipts and transactions only. Their full Driver Experience is available only in the mobile app.
Q: Do new Drivers need to use the web portal?
Yes, but only once. When a new Driver is invited, they’ll get an email and must complete the invitation flow through the mobile-friendly web version of Corpay One. This gives them very limited access in the web portal — just receipts and transactions. To use the full Driver Experience, they must download the Corpay One mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.
Q: How does Smart-Match help?
The Smartmatching feature is currently only available for our Mastercard users only - but its coming soon to Fuel cards so watch this space.
