Business Central: How to Synchronize Matched Invoices to Credit Memos

You can learn how to synchronize matched invoices with credit memos in Business Central. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to ensure your credit memos are accurately applied to invoices.

  1. During Integrations, your invoices and credit memos are mapped to a General Journal or a Purchase Invoice.

  2. In Corpay One, create your invoices and credit memos and let them sync to Business Central, select a Category/Item on both the invoice and the credit memo.

  3. Approve the invoice in Corpay One (If sync before approval has been disabled) and Post the invoice in Business Central.

  4. After the invoice is posted in Business Central, return to Corpay One and merge the invoice with the credit memos. You can locate the "Merge Credit Note" tab by clicking the "..." tab next to the payment method tab

  5. Approve the credit memos (if sync before approval has been disabled) and let them sync to Business Central. You'll notice that the invoice details are applied to the credit memo in Business Central.

  6. After the credit memos have been posted in Business Central, you'll notice that both the credit memos and invoices are automatically closed. You can verify this in the vendor ledger entries in Business Central.

  7. Is your credit memo less than the invoice amount? No worries! Follow the steps above and process the payment with your preferred payment method in Corpay One. The invoice will sync and close out successfully in Business Central.
