Here's how to complete our secure identity verification to keep your Corpay One account safe.

With customers trusting us to handle their payments, we take data and account security seriously at Corpay One. That's why we've teamed up with Onfido to verify our users' identities before they can take advantage of most payments features. It allows for almost instant verification after completing just a few short steps. 

💡 You must complete the identify verification to be able to add payment sources to your company in Corpay One!

There are two ways to complete the ID verification process: on the Corpay One web app, or with the smartphone app with your mobile phone. Instructions for both processes are below:

 

Completing Onfido Identity Verification from Corpay One on web: 

Here's what you need before starting:

  • A digital photo (JPEG, PNG) of one form of ID (i.e. passport, driver's license)

  • A functional web camera and microphone on your computer

1. Navigate to My Profile > Verifications (click your name in the lower left corner), and click the arrow on the identity verification line:

2. Select the type of identification you'd like to submit:

3. Follow the instructions for uploading your document photos. You'll have the option of continuing with your phone, but you can easily select Upload photo - no scans or photocopies to continue in the web app:

4. Once your document upload is complete, you'll be notified that the next step requires both microphone and video capabilities. Click Continue:

5. Enable access to your computer's camera by clicking Enable camera:

6. You'll now be guided through creating a short video recording while your face is visible within the oval. The recording will be comprised of two actions, as specified by clear instructions: 

  • Looking over one shoulder

  • Reading aloud 3 numbers that appear on the screen

Click the red button to start the recording, and then again to stop it after completing the actions:

7. As soon as the recording is complete, you're all set! 

Note: It typically will takes somewhere between 30 seconds and 5 minutes for the identity verification field to show as verified (with a green check-mark), though most verifications happen in under 3 minutes.  

Completing Onfido Identity Verification with your phone: 

Here's what you need before starting:

  • One form of ID in hand (i.e. passport, driver's license)

  • A functional phone camera

1. Navigate to My Profile > Verifications (click your name in the lower left corner), and click the arrow on the identity verification line:

2. Select the type of identification you'd like to submit:

3. Click the Continue on phone button:

4. A clear set of instructions for retrieving a link to your phone will appear. Click Get secure link to be presented with the 3 options:

5. The 3 simple options for getting the link send to your phone are: QR code, SMS message, or a link to paste in a mobile browser. Select one method, and you'll be taken to an Onfido page on your mobile browser:

6. Complete the steps outlined on your phone. The steps will involve: 

  • Taking photo(s) of your identification card (passport, license, etc)

  • Enabling access to your camera and taking a selfie

7. As soon as the mobile steps are complete, your web app will automatically reflect that you're all finished, and your ID verification will be complete:
